I love planning. I love looking at my big blank calendar and visualizing so many possibilities!
January for me is a time spent reflecting on the past year and beginning to carve the path that I want the new year to follow. I review all the feedback I receive about products and sessions and make little tweaks here and there so I can make sure your session and your artwork exceed all expectations. This year, I started my planning journey with an unbelievably inspiring and supportive group of coaches and colleagues at the P/4 Luxe Retreat in Palm Springs, California hosted by petpreneur extraordinaire, J. Nichole Smith of Working with Dog.
This was no ordinary workshop. Surrounded by funky decor, fire pits, and citrus tress, we learned so much more than how to run our businesses. (As a matter of fact, there was nothing photography specific at all.) We learned how to connect – with ourselves and with you. And how to find those things that spark joy and inspire us to share them with the world. To contribute. To completely embrace our WHY.
It was a very emotional weekend in the best possible way.
So, what can you expect from all this? Well, let’s start with my why…
Why I do this can be simplified in a few words: I found my best friend at the bottom of a stack of kitty condos. Overlooked for months. Nothing about my Sammy should relegate him to the bottom. Ever.
And I’m guessing you think the same!
For me, that means big, shiny artwork. Center stage. Spotlights and unbridled joy and gourmet treats and being treated like the… Rock. Stars. They. Are! (And yes, you totally get to come along for the ride.)
- New products! Metal and acrylic wall art options have been added in sizes up to 40″ x 90″ (how awesome will that look over the couch?!)
- New collections! So many of you wanted additional goodies from your mini sessions that I’ve updated the 2017 mini session catalog with print and digital collections.
- Events! I’m currently working with other local pet businesses to host seasonal events so we can connect and spend some time getting acquainted and having some fun. Watch your inbox for details as we finalize plans. (hintdogeasteregghunt)
