Travel the World In One Day

April 30, 2018 , , Carina Thornton
Indonesian Embassy

I have a long list of countries I’d love to visit – Italy tops the list, along with France, Scotland, Ireland, Hungary, Germany…

I have an equally long list of stuff I hate when traveling: choosing weeks worth of clothes and shoes, dragging said clothes and shoes through long security lines, flying, airplane bathrooms, flying, strangers stealing my arm rest, and did I mention flying? (For days before getting on a plane David Bowie’s Major Tom plays in a loop in my head: Am I sitting in a tin can?)

I should mention that none of these things stop me from traveling but what if you can get a taste of the best of these countries and never leave home?

Around the World Embassy Tour

Dozens of embassies will open their doors on Saturday, May 5, 2018. Visitors can travel the world as they experience the food, art, dance, fashion, and music of over 40 different countries. Many of the embassies are within walking distance of the Dupont Circle metro, admission is FREE (bring photo ID), reservations are not required.

So… who wants to meet me in Brazil?!
