Recipe of the Month: Patriotic Pupsicles

In keeping with our Hot-Dog Initiative to keep our dogs cool, here is a fun and festive 4th of July pupsicle recipe from our friends at Gone to the Snow Dogs.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup Fresh Strawberries
1/2 cup Fresh Blueberries
1/2 cup Fresh Coconut
1 1/2 cup Plain Yogurt
6 Dog Jerky Treats

Puree and handful of strawberries and chop remaining into small bits.  Set them aside.  Puree and handful of blueberries and add a few whole ones on top. Set aside. Puree all the coconut and set aside.

Add about 1/2 cup of plain yogurt to each bowl of prepared ingredients and stir them together.  (Use a bit of water instead if your dog has a sensitivity to dairy.) Layer a bit of each color into star-shaped popsicle molds.  Stick the dog jerky treats down into the molds to use as “sticks”. Place them in the freezer for a few hours.
