Looking for something to read while lounging at the newly-opened pools or basking on the warm sand of your favorite beach? How about the Summer 2012 issue of The Virginia-Maryland Dog magazine?
I had the honor of shooting the cover image of “Honey”, a sweet little terrier mix available from the Middleburg Humane Foundation. This cutie pie had a rough start and spent too long a time tethered in a backyard. The dedicated folks of the MHF came to Honey’s rescue and she is ready for her forever home! She is cuddly and playful and I had a fantastic time photographing her.
In this issue you will also find the story of the Afghan Stray Animal League and learn of the development of Tigger House, an organization built to help homeless dogs and cats in Afghanistan. I was completely overwhelmed meeting some of these awesome dogs (and people!) when I did their shoot in Georgetown, a world away from where they all began.
You can find The Virginia-Maryland Dog in most of your favorite local pet-related businesses. If you are out of the area, you can subscribe HERE.
I am also excited to announce that all booked sessions will now include a complimentary annual subscription to the magazine!
